The current membership classes for USP are Regular Members (pathologists) and Junior Members (residents and fellows).
The Executive Committee/Board of Directors is currently revising the society bylaws to expand membership classes. The following memberships classes are proposed and pending approval of the Board and society membership:
Voting Members:
- Pathologist: M.D. or D.O physician currently working in the state of Utah primarily in pathology and/or laboratory medicine.
- Doctorate: Ph.D. in pathology-related field currently working in Utah as Director of a medical laboratory.
Non-Voting Members:
- Junior: Person in postgraduate pathology-related training in the State of Utah (e.g. residents and fellows).
- Retired: Inactive or retired pathologist previously active in a state or national society of Pathology.
- Corresponding: Pathologist actively practicing outside of Utah.
- Associate: Pathology Assistants/Pathology Associates or practice managers of a pathology group.
Dues for each membership class will be determined by the USP Board of Directors.
